How to Properly Structure Files in Your Google Sheets
Organizing data accurately in a sheet saves time and ensures that no automation problems occur.
- To guarantee simple mapping, ensure your title columns match TexAu automation variables (“Name,” “Email,” “Phone,” “LinkedIn URL.”)
- Your headers should not include spaces or any special characters ($ % & # @ ! etc.).
- Make sure to allocate the first row strictly for headers only.
- Refrain from merging cells, as TexAu will not process structured data.
Tip: Always set the first sheet of the file as the main source of the required data unless stated otherwise.

Special Data Types Formatting
URLs (LinkedIn, Websites):
- Ensure that all links are prefixed with https:// for proper functionality.
- Never leave spaces before or after the URLs.
Emails & Phone Numbers:
- Always use the following formatting: name@domain.com for emails: name@domain.com.
- Maintain the international format for phone numbers, for example, +1 123 456 7890.

Dates & Time:
- The universally accepted format YYYY-MM-DD 2025-03-28 should be used to avoid ambiguity.
Tip: Formulas in TexAu should have values instead before importing the data.
Giving TexAu Access to a Google Sheet
TexAu requires permission to view your Google Sheet. Here’s how to change the access settings:
- Navigate to the top right corner of the Google Sheet and click the Share button.
- In the window titled "Share with people and groups," click the "Copy link" button.
