The Twitter Topic Feed Export automation allows marketers, sales professionals, and growth hackers to extract tweets related to a specific topic or hashtag efficiently. This tutorial will guide you step-by-step to set up and run the automation, including scheduling, customizing delays, and exporting data to Google Sheets or CSV.

Step 1: Connect to Twitter with TexAu

Log in to your TexAu account at v2-prod.texau.com. Connect your Twitter account to TexAu. Click Add Account and select Twitter. Choose one of the following connection methods:

1. Share via Magic Link: A secure link will be sent to your email for a seamless connection without entering credentials.
2. Add Account: Connect via TexAu’s browser extension for manual account setup.

Tip: Magic Link is the quickest and most secure method for connecting your Twitter account.

Step 2: Log in to the TexAu App and Locate the Automation

Navigate to the Automation Store, search for Twitter Topic Feed Export , and click the automation to open its configuration page

Step 3: Choose Cloud or Desktop Automation

Select your preferred execution mode for the automation:

• Cloud:  Automate tasks on TexAu’s servers using built-in proxies. Add a custom proxy anytime via Settings > Preferences > Proxies.
• Desktop: Run the automation on your local device using your IP address to simulate manual posting.
  Tip: Running the automation in Desktop mode saves cloud runtime credits and provides more control over execution.

Step 4: Select Your Input Source

TexAu makes it easy to extract content from specific Twitter topics for analysis or engagement. This feature is perfect for tracking trends or gathering data related to specific topics on Twitter.

Single Input

Use this option to extract feed data from a single Twitter topic.

• Account: Select the Twitter account to be used for exporting the topic feed.
• Topic URL: Enter the URL of the Twitter topic to extract the feed.

Google Sheets

This option is best for extracting feed data from multiple Twitter topics stored in a Google Sheet.

1. Connect your Google account
   Click Select Google Account to choose your connected account or add a new one using Add New Google Sheet Account.
2. Select your spreadsheet
   Click Open Google Drive to locate the Google Sheet containing Twitter topic URLs.
   Choose the spreadsheet and the specific sheet where your data is stored.
3. Adjust processing options
   Number of Rows to Process (Optional): Define the number of rows of data to process.
   Number of Rows to Skip (Optional): Specify rows to skip if necessary.
4. Provide input details
   Topic URL: Ensure the column in the sheet contains valid Twitter topic URLs.
5. Enable Loop Mode (Optional)
   Turn on Loop Mode to reprocess the Google Sheet from the start once all rows are completed.

Process a CSV File

This option allows exporting feed data from a static list of Twitter topics stored in a CSV file.

• Upload the file
  Click Upload CSV File and select the file containing Twitter topic URLs.
  TexAu will preview its content for verification.
• Adjust processing settings
  Number of Rows to Process (Optional): Define the number of rows to process.
  Number of Rows to Skip (Optional): Specify rows to skip if necessary.
• Provide input details
  Topic URL: Ensure the correct column contains valid Twitter topic URLs.

Tip: Use Google Sheets for dynamic or frequently updated lists and CSV files for static data. Let me know if further adjustments are needed.

Step 5: Schedule the Automation (Optional)

Automate the process by scheduling the task to run at specific times. Click Schedule to configure:

• None: Run the automation manually.
• At Regular Intervals: Repeat every few hours or days.
• On Specific Days: Run the task on designated days or dates.

Tip: Regular scheduling helps track trending topics consistently.

Step 6: Set an Iteration Delay (Optional)

Avoid detection and simulate human-like activity by setting an iteration delay. Choose minimum and maximum time intervals to add randomness between actions. This makes your activity look natural and reduces the chance of being flagged.

• Minimum Delay: Enter the shortest interval (e.g., 10 seconds).
• Maximum Delay: Enter the longest interval (e.g., 20 seconds).

Tip: Random delays keep your automation safe and reliable.

Step 7: Choose Your Output Mode (Optional)

Choose how to save and manage the extracted alumni data. TexAu provides the following options:

• Append (Default): Adds new results to the end of existing data, merging them into a single CSV file.
• Split: Saves new results as separate CSV files for each automation run.
• Overwrite: Replaces previous data with the latest results.
• Duplicate Management: Enable Deduplicate (Default) to remove duplicate rows.

Tip: Google Sheets is ideal for teams working collaboratively and needing real-time data access.

Step 8: Access the Data from the Data Store

After the automation is complete, navigate to the Data Store on TexAu. Locate the Twitter Topic Feed Export task and click See Data to view or download the results.
