Reflection AI has raised $2 billion at an $8 billion valuation, a dramatic 15× jump from its previous $545 million valuation. The company, founded in 2024 by former DeepMind researchers Misha Laskin and Ioannis Antonoglou, is building an open frontier-scale AI lab positioned as a Western challenger to DeepSeek and an alternative to closed labs like OpenAI and Anthropic.
