Do I need a TexAu account to use the MCP server?
Yes. For Claude Desktop, connect via OAuth — no key needed; you sign in at install time. For Cursor, Windsurf, Cline, VS Code, and other MCP clients, paste an API key from enrich.texau.com into the x-api-key header.
How does the Claude OAuth connector work?
TexAu is a native Claude connector. Open Claude Desktop's integrations panel, add TexAu, sign in with your enrich.texau.com account, and Claude gets a scoped OAuth token. No API key copy-paste, no header config, and revocation is one click from the same panel.
What MCP transport does TexAu use?
Hosted remote HTTP. Server URL: https://mcp.texau.com/mcp. Auth is OAuth for Claude Desktop and x-api-key for everyone else. Works with any MCP client that supports HTTP transport.
Does the agent see my data?
Only what you pass into the tool call. We don't log prompts or model reasoning. Enrichment results are stored per your data retention settings.
Rate limits?
Default 100 requests/sec per key. Higher on Growth and Enterprise tiers. Configurable per-tool ceilings.
Can I scope tools my agent can call?
Yes. Generate an API key with a tool allowlist. The MCP server only exposes the tools that key permits. Standard practice for agent safety.
How is this different from your REST API?
Same tools, same credits. REST is for backends and scripts. MCP is for agents — your model discovers tools at runtime, picks the right one, and calls it natively. No glue code.
